The material has very good resistance to a wide range of chemicals and very low water absorption.<\/p>\n<p>The material is used for, among other things, seals, gaskets, linings, bearings, sliding parts, insulating components and other machine parts that are exposed to chemicals, temperature or friction.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/scanco.no\/en\/ptfe-plast-teflon-egenskaper-bruksomrader-og-materialvalg\/\">Read more about <strong>properties and uses of PTFE plastic<\/strong>, and when the material should be chosen over other engineering plastics.<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Machined parts in PTFE<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/scanco.no\/en\/cnc-maskinering\/\">Scanco can supply CNC machined<\/a> PTFE parts according to drawing or 3D model. The material can be machined into seals, gaskets, bushings, sliding parts and special components, among other things.<\/p>\n<p>We produce both individual components and series in our own workshop. If you don&#039;t have a drawing or 3D model, we can also <a href=\"https:\/\/scanco.no\/en\/3d-scanning\/\">3D scanning and reverse engineering<\/a> existing components.<\/p>\n<h2>Semi-finished product<\/h2>\n<p>We supply PTFE as semi-finished products in various dimensions and designs. PTFE is the type of material that is also known through the trademark Teflon.
