Scancot TriboTex 3 is a fiber-reinforced composite material developed for plain bearings, bushings and other sliding components with medium loads. The material combines good mechanical properties with low friction and wear resistance, and is an alternative to traditional bearing materials in a number of industrial applications.

Plain bearings and bushings for industrial machines

TriboTex 3 is particularly suitable for bearing and sliding applications with moderate to medium loads. The material can be used for, among other things, plain bearings, bushings, guides and other components with sliding contact.

Typical applications include construction machinery, quarry equipment, transport and logistics equipment and other industrial machinery.

Composite material for bearings and sliding components

The fiber-reinforced construction gives the material good mechanical properties and wear resistance. TriboTex 3 is developed for applications where a robust composite material with good sliding properties is desired.

The correct material selection depends on factors such as load, speed, temperature, lubrication and operating environment. Scanco can assist with the selection of Scancot material based on the specific application.

Machined bearings and bushings in TriboTex 3

Scanco can deliver fully machined plain bearings, bushings, guides and special components in Scancot TriboTex 3 according to drawing or 3D model.

The machining is carried out in our own workshop, so that we can deliver both material and finished components adapted to the customer's dimensions and area of application.
