Scancot TriboTemp 10 is a fiber-reinforced composite material developed for plain bearings, bushings and sliding components operating at elevated temperatures. The material is aramid reinforced and combines high temperature resistance with good mechanical properties and low friction.

Composite bearings for high temperatures

TriboTemp 10 is designed for bearing applications where temperatures exceed the optimum for standard composite materials. The material can be used continuously at temperatures up to 150°C and withstands short-term temperatures up to 200°C.

This makes TriboTemp 10 suitable for plain bearings, bushings, guides and other sliding components in machines and industrial equipment with high operating temperatures.

Aramid reinforced bearing material

The aramid reinforcement contributes to the material's temperature resistance while TriboTemp 10 retains good mechanical properties. The maximum recommended bearing load is 150 MPa static and 90 MPa dynamic.

When selecting bearing material, load, speed, temperature, lubrication and operating environment must be considered together. Scanco can assist with selecting Scancot material for the application in question.

Machined bearings and bushings in TriboTemp 10

Scanco can deliver fully machined plain bearings, bushings, guides and special components in Scancot TriboTemp 10 according to drawing or 3D model.

The machining is carried out in our own workshop, so that we can deliver both material and finished components adapted to the customer's dimensions and operating conditions.

Please contact us if you need TriboTemp 10 as a semi-finished product, finished machined components or help with the selection of bearing material.
