Scancot L2 Marine is a high-performance composite material specially developed for use in maritime environments.
With practically zero swelling in water and very low thermal expansion, is Scancot L2 Marine ideal for operational conditions and working environments such as rudder and pintle bearings. These can be lubricated with water, oil, grease or operate in dry conditions. The material has been developed to provide better performance, longer service life, operation without lubrication and a maintenance-free "install and forget" solution.
Scancot L2 Marine is the only composite material approved for use as a rudder bearing in both wet and dry conditions at storage pressures up to 10 MPa. The product is classified and approved by many of the world's leading classification companies.
Scancot L2 Marine is also tested and approved for use in stern shaft bearings and has been shown to provide superior performance with lower wear, longer life and reduced shaft wear compared to other water lubricated propeller shaft bearings.
