Scanco AS performs rehabilitation and relining of brakes and clutches for industrial and maritime applications. We rehabilitate brake shoes, brake arches and clutches, and have a large selection of brake bands and friction materials in various qualities and dimensions.
How we rehabilitate brakes and clutches
Scanco has provided brake and clutch rehabilitation, relining and friction materials for industrial and marine applications since 1978.
We start by removing old and worn friction lining and thoroughly cleaning the surface before installing new lining. Depending on the component, application and type of lining, the new brake or clutch lining can be vulcanized, riveted or screwed in.
If existing brake shoes or brake arches are worn out or not suitable for further use, we can also offer new brake shoes and brake arches. If the bearing in the unit is worn out, we can also manufacture new bearings as needed.
Tailor-made solutions
We can customize brake bands and clutch linings to the customer's needs and desired dimensions. We also supply the necessary cleaning agents and adhesives, as well as screws and rivets for installation.
This gives the customer the opportunity to carry out the rehabilitation themselves, with materials and fasteners adapted to the specific application.
