Scancot TriboChem 11 is a fiber-reinforced composite material developed for bearings, liners and sliding components in aggressive chemical environments. The material uses a special resin system that provides high resistance to both acidic and alkaline environments.
Composite bearings for chemically aggressive environments
TriboChem 11 is designed for applications where the bearing material is exposed to chemicals or extreme pH conditions. The high chemical resistance makes the material relevant in industrial processes where traditional bearing materials may have problems with corrosion or chemical degradation.
The material can be used for, among other things, plain bearings, bushings, guides and other sliding components in chemically demanding operating environments.
High chemical resistance and low friction
The special resin system is developed for high resistance to both acids and bases, while the material retains good mechanical properties.
The dynamic coefficient of friction in dry operation is stated to be 0.13, and swelling in water is less than 0.15 volume percent. Chemical compatibility must be assessed against the relevant medium, concentration, temperature and operating conditions.

The machining is carried out in our own workshop, so that we can deliver both material and finished components adapted to dimensions and the current application.
