PA12 (polyamide 12 / nylon 12) is a technical engineering plastic with low moisture absorption, good dimensional stability and high chemical resistance. The material combines good mechanical properties with wear resistance and is well suited for components used in demanding industrial and maritime environments.
Properties and uses
PA12 absorbs significantly less moisture than PA6, among others. This provides better dimensional stability in varying humidity and makes the material well suited when stable dimensions are important.
The material has good resistance to abrasion and many chemicals, oils and fuels. PA12 also has good sliding properties and is used in a variety of mechanical components.
Machined parts in PA12
PA12 is used for, among other things, bushings, bearings, guides, rollers, sliding parts and other machine components where low moisture absorption, wear resistance and chemical resistance are important properties.
Scanco can supply CNC machined parts in PA12 according to drawing or 3D model, both as individual components and series. The machining is carried out in our own workshop. If you do not have a drawing or 3D model, we can also 3D scanning and reverse engineering existing components.
