Scancot TriboTape is a durable composite tape developed for flat surfaces where low friction and reduced wear are needed. The material can be used as a sliding coating on guides, rails and machine components and is particularly relevant where traditional bearing solutions are difficult to use.
Composite tape for sliding surfaces and guides
TriboTape provides a friction-reducing and wear-resistant surface on flat components. The material can be customized to the desired size and geometry and is used on guide rails, machine parts, transport equipment and other surfaces with sliding contact, among other things.
This makes TriboTape well suited when you want to establish or replace a sliding surface without using a traditional sliding bearing or a solid composite component.
TriboTape G and TriboTape T
TriboTape G is graphite filled and comes in a grey finish.
TriboTape T is PTFE-filled and comes in a turquoise finish.
The choice of variant depends on factors such as the opposing material, load, movement, friction requirements and operating environment.
