Scancot TriboGuide is a series of composite materials for plain bearings, guides, bushings and other sliding components in industrial applications. The series is available in several material variants with polyester or cotton phenolic-based matrix and various friction-reducing additives.
Composite material for guides and plain bearings
TriboGuide is developed for components with sliding contact and can be used for, among other things, plain bearings, guides, bushings, control elements and other machine parts that are exposed to movement and wear.
The different TriboGuide variants make it possible to select material based on the requirements of the specific application.
Four TriboGuide variants
TriboGuide G – polyester-based and graphite-filled. Available in grey.
TriboGuide T – polyester-based and PTFE-filled. Available in turquoise.
TriboGuide CN – cotton phenolic composite. Available in brown finish.
TriboGuide CG – cotton phenolic based and graphite filled. Available in grey.
The choice of variant depends on factors such as load, movement, friction requirements, temperature and operating environment.
Machined guides, bearings and bushings
Scanco can deliver fully machined plain bearings, guides, bushings and special components in Scancot TriboGuide according to drawing or 3D model.
The machining is carried out in our own workshop, so that we can deliver both material and finished components adapted to the customer's dimensions and area of application.
