Scanco supplies WEG electric motors and electric drive systems for industrial, offshore and maritime applications. The range includes electric motors, generators, frequency converters, drives and circuit breakers for a wide range of industrial applications.
WEG motors can be supplied to both IEC and NEMA standards and with relevant class approvals. For applications in Brazil, products with Brazilian "Local Content" can be supplied if required.

In addition to WEG, Scanco AS can also supply selected products from other companies in the WEG group. This provides more options within electrical operation and power transmission, especially when the application requires something more than a standard solution.

ATEX and IECEx approved electric motors
Scanco can supply electric motors for hazardous areas, including solutions with Ex d, Ex de and Ex nA designs. The range includes motors for applications in offshore, marine, process industry and other areas with requirements for explosion-proof electrical equipment.
Cemp and WEG offer motor solutions with ATEX and IECEx approvals, among others. The correct design is selected based on classification and the requirements of the particular installation.
Modification of electric motors in our own workshop
Scanco performs simple modifications to standard motors in its own workshop in Bergen. This makes it possible to adapt standard motors to specific applications without having to order all variants pre-configured from the manufacturer.
We also stock flanges for several standard WEG motors at our facility in Åsane, Bergen.
