Industrial Waterjet Cutting

Scanco offers waterjet cutting of metal, engineering plastics, composites, rubber and a variety of other materials. The method provides precise cuts without heat and is suitable for both single components, prototypes and series production.

Precise cutting without heat effects

Waterjet cutting provides precise cuts without a heat-affected zone, preserving the material's properties around the cutting edge.

Many material types

We cut steel, stainless steel, aluminum, technical plastics, composites, rubber, ceramics and a variety of other materials.

Up to 100 mm thickness

We have the capacity to waterjet cut materials with a thickness of up to 100 mm, depending on the material and desired result.

Cutting table 3 × 3 meters

With a 3 × 3 meter cutting table and two cutting heads, we can produce both smaller components and larger parts.

What is waterjet cutting, and why choose it?

Waterjet cutting is a versatile and environmentally friendly method in which water under extremely high pressure cuts the material with high precision.
In many cases, an abrasive sand stream is used, which makes it possible to cut through even hard metals and composites without the effect of heat.
The method provides a clean cut, preserves the material's properties and can reduce the need for rework.
This makes waterjet cutting ideal for everything from prototypes and precision parts to series production and advanced industrial components.

Materials suitable for waterjet cutting

We can water cut almost all types of materials – from metals and plastics to advanced composites.
The method makes it possible to cut both soft and hard materials with high precision without heat effects or deformation.
This makes waterjet cutting ideal for both prototypes and series production.

Common materials we work with:

  • Metals: steel, stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, copper, brass and bronze

  • Engineering plastics: POM-C, PA6, HDPE, PVC, PEEK, PTFE and more engineering plastics

  • Composite and special materials: carbon fiber, fiberglass, Scancot, rubber, ceramics

  • Other materials: foam, wood and stone-like materials

Only tempered glass cannot be water-cut, as it will crack during the process.

Long experience with waterjet cutting

Scanco has been performing waterjet cutting since 2001 and supplies waterjet components for a variety of industrial applications. With a 3 x 3 meter cutting table, two cutting heads and capacity for material thicknesses up to 100 mm, we can handle both smaller components and larger workpieces.
