Industrial 3D printing

With industrial 3D printing equipment, Scanco can produce complex components without the need for traditional tooling, making the technology well-suited for prototypes, spare parts, jigs and fixtures, special components, and smaller production runs.
We can assist from the selection of material and production method to the finished component based on the customer's 3D model or production data.

Prototypes and series production

We produce functional prototypes, individual components and smaller series based on the customer's 3D model or production data.

Technical materials

We print in a wide range of thermoplastics and high-performance materials, including fiber-reinforced materials for demanding industrial applications.

Complex geometries

3D printing makes it possible to produce complex geometries and customized components that can be demanding or expensive to manufacture using traditional manufacturing methods.

Spare parts and special components

We can produce spare parts, jigs, fixtures and other special components in small quantities without the need for expensive production tooling.

Materials for industrial 3D printing

Material selection is crucial for the mechanical, thermal and chemical properties of the component. Scanco offers 3D printing in both standard materials and advanced technical polymers, and can assist with material selection based on the application.

Relevant materials include, among others: ASA, PETG/PCTG, PA12, PA12-CF, PA6, TPU, PPS and PPS-CF, PPA-CF, PEKK and PEEK, in addition to other materials according to needs and production method.

Materials are selected based on requirements for strength, stiffness, temperature resistance, chemical resistance, UV exposure, wear and desired surface.

Fiber-reinforced materials

For components with higher requirements for stiffness, strength and dimensional stability, we offer several fiber-reinforced materials. Carbon fiber-reinforced polymers can be well suited for jigs, fixtures, machine components, brackets and other functional industrial parts, among others.

3D modeling and reverse engineering

If the customer lacks a production-ready 3D model, Scanco can assist with 3D modeling and production support. Existing components can also be digitized using 3D scanning and reverse engineering before a new component is manufactured.

Using 3D scanning and reverse engineering, existing components can be digitized and converted into production-ready 3D models. This makes it possible to reproduce discontinued parts, develop replacement components or create modified versions for 3D printing and other manufacturing methods.

3D printing adapted to industrial applications

Different applications have different requirements for material, geometry and mechanical properties. We assist in finding a combination of material and production method that suits the component's function and operating environment.

ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified

Scanco AS is certified according to NS-EN ISO 9001:2015 and NS-EN ISO 14001:2015. This provides our industrial customers with documented management systems for quality and the environment throughout production and deliveries.
