Scancot TriboTough 10

  • Max. static bearing load: 180 MPa
  • Continuous temperature: up to 150°C
  • Short-term temperature: up to 200°C
  • High mechanical strength
  • For highly loaded bearings and bushings

Scancot TriboTough 10 is a fiber-reinforced composite material developed for highly loaded bearings, bushings and sliding components. The material combines high compressive strength with good temperature resistance and is intended for industrial applications with high mechanical loads.

Composite bearings for high loads

TriboTough 10 has a higher load capacity than Scancot TriboTex 7 and is designed for applications where bearings and bushings are exposed to particularly high static or dynamic loads.

The maximum recommended static bearing load is 180 MPa. The material is therefore suitable for, among other things, highly loaded plain bearings, bushings, support points and other mechanical components with high contact loads.

High strength and temperature resistance

TriboTough 10 combines textile reinforcement with improved temperature resistance. The material is rated for continuous operation at temperatures up to 150°C and short-term exposure up to 200°C.

The combination of high load capacity and temperature resistance makes TriboTough 10 particularly interesting where a conventional composite bearing does not have sufficient mechanical or thermal capacity.

Machined bearings and bushings in TriboTough 10

Scanco can deliver fully machined plain bearings, bushings and special components in Scancot TriboTough 10 according to drawing or 3D model.

The machining is carried out in our own workshop, so that we can deliver both material and finished components adapted to dimensions, load and current application.
